Our excellent on-site facilities support all our needs to ensure that we provide the best solutions to our customers.
With facilities that total over 145,000 square foot including our state of the art manufacturing unit, warehousing and distribution centre. All based in the heart of Gloucestershire, providing us with excellent road links to anywhere in the UK.
Tooling
Our wide range of machinery enables us to offer various options for tooling. With smaller machines ideal for lesser volumes such as product launches, right through to fully functional high specification tools for larger volume work.
This allows us to tailor our customers’ needs to the correct tooling and unit price required for their project budgets. In-mould cut tooling for medium to high volume production runs is also available, where cut size tolerances are critical for high speed packing.
Tool build
Once we have received approval of our CAD designs and prototypes we move to the full tool build which takes approximately 3-4 weeks.
Your Account Manager will work closely with the Planning Team and Tooling Department, to schedule a delivery that meets your expectations and ensure that launch dates are achieved.
Manufacturing
Leeways are continually investing in the latest equipment available to the thermoforming industry. The combination of large and small thermoforming machines allows us to produce low to high volume runs.
All manufacturing takes place in our High Care Manufacturing Plant, which provides validation and ensures full compliance of all critical systems, facilities and environments with 100% in line metal detection for all products prior to packing.
Our accreditation to BRC/ IoP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials demonstrates that Leeways is competent in maintaining product safety and integrity.
Warehousing
Our specialist distribution centre totals 90,000 square feet of fully racked space and has the ability to hold over 8,000 pallets.
This facility allows us to deliver a wide range of products and provide a faster, more efficient service to our customers via well organised receipt of goods, palletisation, order receipt, pack and order assembly and delivery to the end user.
All stages of the process are completely traceable via our computerised stock management system.
