This month one of the UK's leading Thermoforming companies Leeways Packaging in Gloucester have secured a deal for the assets of Chevler Packaging.

Leeways operate from a state of the art manufacturing site that has been custom built to accommodate the requirements of supplying direct food contact packaging. The assets that have been purchased will optimize the synergies between the two businesses with the equipment and tooling complementing each other. The deal will also result in employing more local people.

The deal will allow Leeways to present a fuller portfolio of bespoke and standard packaging including a very exciting meat tray, salad pot and bakery range.

Leeways Packaging pride themselves on customer service and quality and continually strive to improve efficiencies and ultimately reduce costs. This philosophy will be applied to the assets purchased with a view to optimizing the return on the investment.

Even although this is a tough time for manufacturing in the UK the management team at Leeways have taken a strategic decision to invest in these trying times with a view to building an even stronger business to ride out this recession and emerge a better company.
