Leeways Packaging LTD Thermoforming specialists

Leeways History

Trevor Walding formed Leeways in 1961 with its initial focus being pallets and wooden cases.

The original location of Leeways was about 2 miles from the current site in Huntley

The business moved to its current location in the mid 60's. The factory was and still is located behind the family home.

In the late 60's Leeways ventured into contract packing.

During the 1970`s the original 'Shed' was demolished. A new and modern factory was built to accommodate the growing contract packing business.

The first thermoforming machines were purchased as support to the contract packing.

In 1980 Trevor Wadings' son, Tony Walding took charge of the company.

During the early part of the 1980's, Leeways began to produce bespoke thermoforming's for outside customers.

Focus moved onto the volume opportunities in Food and FMCG markets during the mid Nineties.

To accommodate the needs of our customers and the end user, in April 2001 the 'Clean Environment Room' was opened. It is a purpose built, air conditioned unit.

To further stamp our mark in the industry Leeways was accredited with the BRC/IoP certificate.

Further investment between 2005 and 2007 has seen 5 new machines added.

Leeways continues to be run as a family business. Lee Walding, Tony Walding's eldest son has followed his father into the business and plays a key role in moving Leeways forward.
